Stantec’s Group Leader for Civil and Toowoomba office lead, Calvin Rix, commented, ‘I’m delighted that our new office in the heart of Toowoomba will bring us even closer to our clients. The office opening follows more than two decades of Stantec’s involvement in community-building projects across the Darling Downs including hotels, dams, disaster recovery works, hospitals, residential developments, and the Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport.

For Stantec Civil Engineer Katherine Guerrero, the new office is an opportunity to pursue a career with a global firm without having to leave home. ‘I’m ready to work with a range of clients across the Darling Downs and draw from a global knowledgebase to benefit my community. I’m particularly passionate about improving the resilience of the local road infrastructure which I know is so important for us.’

The Stantec team works with clients across the built environment with a commitment to create sustainable, prosperous, and equitable communities, fit for the future. The company has 27 offices across Australia and some 450+ globally. The move into Toowoomba will help Stantec connect further with its existing and prospective clients within the region.

‘The projects we work on at Stantec focus on creating healthier, sustainable, and more resilient solutions. Whether it’s transport infrastructure and corridors, active travel, or rethinking the way we look at buildings, water, energy, and resources, we always design with community in mind’, continued Rix. ‘Our clients benefit from our global expertise paired with local knowledge, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes for the community.’
